VINN has developed the unique VINN Cockpit app with the aim of bringing the conveniences of a smart home to the hotel world and therefore to the hotel room. VINN Cockpit supports and controls the following functions, among others:\ Configuration to the technological environment in the hotel \ Filled-in registration form as stored in the profile\ Mobile (pre-)check-in (in some countries a registration form has to be signed in person or other documents have to be shown)\ Advance notification of special requests such as hypo-allergenic linen or special pillows shapes etc.\ Digital keys, opening the door with the smartphone\ Control of room lights including master off function\ Control of air-conditioning system including pre-defined automatic changes and settings (e. g. cooling down from 11 p.m.)\ Control of blinds and curtains \ Using the smartphone as a remote control for TV and audio devices\ Transferring your own content from the smartphone to the hotel TV\ Transfer of cast-enabled apps and accounts to the hotel TV\ Integration of a softphone client to use your own smartphone as room telephone with extension \ Speed-dial keys or messaging functions on the smartphone can be used to easily contact the main hotel departments\ Mobile check-out (if credit card left with hotel)\ Mobile payment (from Q1- 2018)\ Digital guest brochure \ Room service\ Restaurant reservations, either in the hotel or restaurants recommended by the hotel\ Calling a taxi\ Discounts and other special offers\ Promotions tailored to the guest (e.g. massages or spa treatments), if interest listed in profile\ And much more The app configures itself for each hotel, allowing you to use the approved services and technologies.
