The application has multiple independant kiosks which reflect locations where UN-OCHA operates or there is an ongoing international humanitarian emergency. Other than the files downloaded for the HKiosk, the application does not access, use or store any personal information from your device.
The Humanitarian Standards Partnership (HSPapp) is designed for field practitioners providing humanitarian aid in disaster or conflict situations. It provides access to the Humanitarian Charter, Protection Principles, Core Humanitarian Standard and standards for the following key areas of humanitarian response: water supply, hygiene and sanitation; shelter and non-food items; food security and nutrition, health action; child protection; education; livestock management; market analysis; and economic recovery. The World Bank EdStats DataFinder is an app for accessing national, regional, and global education data on topics like teachers, out-of-school children, expenditures, and learning. Indicators cover all levels of education from early childhood development to higher education, including policy data related to several areas of the education system (e.g. Teachers and School Finance). Data can be viewed in tables, charts or maps and easily shared through email or social media.
This innovative App has been developed by the World Bank to improve awareness of the growing collection of global public-domain datasets useful for those interested in development issues. It helps access and visualize multi-sectoral spatial and temporal data from a range of institutions by drawing upon their map and data services.
