Reminders is a component of iOS and OS X that allows users to set notifications for themselves and create lists. It was a new feature in iOS 5 and OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion". It can sync data between iOS and OS X through iCloud.

Holiline Reminder is both an event reminder and a calendar. Holiline’s aim is to ensure that you do not forget about a friend’s birthday, an important holiday, or another significant event. By default, it takes over the taskbar to remind you about important events that are coming up.

Birthday Reminder will alert you to birthdays you need to remember, in advance of those dates.
