ImageMagick is a software suite to create, edit, and compose bitmap images. It can read, convert and write images in a variety of formats (about 100) including GIF, JPEG, JPEG-2000, PNG, PDF, PhotoCD, TIFF, and DPX. Okular is a universal document viewer based on KPDF for KDE 4 with support for advanced document features, such as annotations, forms, and embedded files.

JPEGView is a small and fast viewer/editor for JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF images. On-the-fly image processing is provided - allowing to adjust typical parameters as sharpness, color balance, contrast and local under-/overexposure.

nomacs is a free image viewer for windows, linux, and mac systems, which is licensed under the GNU Public License v3. nomacs is small, fast and able to handle the most common image formats including RAW images. Additionally it is possible to synchronize multiple viewers. A synchronization of viewers running on the same computer or via LAN is possible.
