Microscope Resolution

Microscope Resolution will assist in calculating the resolution of any conventional light microscope lens. It can: Calculate resolution for an individual light microscope lens Calculate resolution for every lens on your light microscope and save them to a Resolution Table for ongoing reference Determine which lens to use to resolve a structure of know size Explore the effect of different color filters (wavelengths of light) on resolution Calculate resolution when using any color filterIt is useful for educators teaching light microscopy; microscopy students or anyone with a light microscope who is interested in gaining a deeper insight into microscopyDetailed documentation about using the app can be obtained from:http://www.dennisdsoftware.comThe downloadable PDF documentation contains examples on how the app can be used; microscopy definitions used in the app as well as an explanation of all app options

Microscope Counter

Microscope Counter is designed to count sample sizes in one or two object classes. It was specifically designed to allow a microscopist to view samples, in a darkened microscope room, and count objects without needing to look away from the microscope at the device screen. The Intensity of text elements on the screen can be further reduced in the Settings (this has no impact on the screen brightness of other apps) Although the app gestures are easy to remember all gestures are in an info screen (accessible from Settings)Though the app was developed for Microscopy it could be used as a general purpose counting device especially where you need to concentrate on what you are counting without having to look at your device screen.
