MacTeX is a redistribution of TeX Live, a typesetting environment. While TeX Live is designed to be cross-platform (running on Unix, Mac OS X, and Windows), MacTeX includes Mac-specific utilities and front-ends. It is also pre-configured to work out-of-the-box with Mac OS X as it provides sensible defaults for configuration options that, in TeX Live, are left up to the user to allow for its cross-platform compatibility.

TeXnicle is LaTeX editor designed for Mac OS X. It runs on Snow Leopard and Lion on 32-bit and 64-bit systems. TeXnicle is free (as in beer) and will remain so.

Inlage (Intelligent LaTex Generator) is a shareware LaTeX Integrated development environment that allows the user input LaTeX by using Windows 7's Math Input Panel. The shareware version does not allow saving or compiling after 5 minutes of testing.
